Connor Ben is not concerned that the IBF will remove it today from their lead 15 rankings in 154. His destination is to go after the welfare WBC champion Mario Barius, after his repeated broadcast with Chris Jonor next month in their middle weight fight on November 15 in London.
Ben (23-1, 14 kos) has not fought medium -weight Jr. 20 months since his victory for Peter Dubson on February 3, 2024. Then, one can understand why the IBF chose to remove it from their 15 leading ratings.
Connor, 29, ranks 4 WBC at Welterweight, and he wants to return to the league to challenge Barius (29-2-2, 18 ko) after he is facing Jubank Jr. next month. Barrios is seen as the weakest link in 147 by many boxing fans.
This will be a bad public relations move from Ben to focus Barius for his WBC belt instead of fighting the winner in the fight on November 22 between Devin Heini and WBO’s welfare champion, Brian Norman Jr.. However, the risk will be high for Connor because of Norman’s power.
Economically, Barrius’s title will make Ben Gen. Walter, and he could have the same belt against various contestants for his choice. He can also set up consolidation battles against one of these welfare weight champions:
“His belt got my name.
Joben Junior vs. 2 years old will be titled on November 15 On Dezan PPV at Tottenham Stadium has been in Tottenham, London, England. Ben is getting another chance to fight for Obank Jr. (35-3, 25 kos) after losing a unanimous decision of 12 rounds earlier this year on April 26.
The broadcast is basically just a brawl at the business level, as Jonor Jr. increased last April last April, winning scores 116-112, 116-112 and 116-112. Ben looked like he was ready to drop him in the later turns. He absorbed a lot of punishment in the fight.
It will be a good idea for Ben’s corner to throw away the towel or pull it out if he starts working again by Jobnek Jr., because he doesn’t have to stay there and get unnecessary blows. There is too huge a natural bay and experience between him and Jonor Jr..
