Enrique hails Strasbourg’s performance after thrilling draw in Paris

PSG boss Luis Enrique congratulated Strasbourg after his side fought back to grab a point in Ligue 1 on Friday night.

Despite going up 1:0 in Paris, the visitors rallied, took a shock 3-1 lead and stunned the home crowd in the French capital.

But as always, PSG were dangerous until the last minute, grabbing two late goals to grab a point and save their Reds.

It was a rare night for the champions, who were without Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembele.

But Enrique had no excuses for his side’s performance on the night, and plenty of praise for his opposite manager Liam Rosenier.

After the game, he said: “I love the way Liam is playing in this team. I knew how difficult the game would be.

“This season, I have to manage the break before and after the World Cup. I have to control the physical load of my players. The goals conceded? We started the game well.

“We showed our superiority with and without the ball. The end of the first half was worse, we suffered. The intensity was better in the second half.

“The last part of the game was very positive. It’s a shame because the fans were amazing, they deserved more.

“No coach enjoys conceding three goals. I’m looking to improve my work. I have the opportunity to get a lot of information.

“We were superior, we managed to score the goals. It was close, difficult. They are a young team, but a very good team.”
